Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what information we collect when you use Tastely Bites, how we use it and the choices you have.

The short version
We collect very little: what you send us through our forms, and anonymous statistics about how the site is used. We never sell your personal data.
1. Who we are
Tastely Bites is a recipe website at tastelybites.com. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website, and this policy applies to every page on it.
2. What we collect
Contact form messages
Your name, email address and message when you contact us.
Recipe submissions
Your name, email address and the recipe details you send through “Submit your recipe”.
Usage and device data
Pages visited, time on site, browser, device type and approximate location, collected by Google Analytics.
Server logs
Your IP address and the pages requested, kept briefly by our hosting server for security and troubleshooting.
We do not have user accounts, comments or a newsletter, and we never ask for payment details.
3. How we use your information
To reply to you
We use your name and email only to answer your message.
To review recipe submissions
We read submitted recipes and may contact you about featuring them.
To run and protect the site
Server data helps us keep the website fast, secure and free of spam.
To improve our recipes
Anonymous statistics show which recipes and pages are most useful to readers.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It places cookies in your browser and collects information in a way that does not identify you directly. We do not currently show advertising or use advertising cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works normally without analytics cookies.
5. Third-party services
- Google Analytics processes usage data under Google’s privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider stores the website and its server logs.
- Pinterest and other share buttons are simple links. Nothing is sent to those sites unless you click them.
6. When we share information
We never sell your personal data or share it for other companies’ marketing. We only share it:
- with the service providers who help us run the website, such as our host and analytics provider;
- when the law requires it, for example a court order;
- to prevent fraud or protect the safety of our users and team;
- if Tastely Bites is ever sold or merged, in which case we will tell you first.
7. How long we keep it
- Messages and recipe submissions: up to 2 years after our last contact with you.
- Analytics data: 14 months, Google Analytics’ standard setting.
- Server logs: a short period for security.
8. Your rights
Access
Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction
Ask us to fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
Deletion
Ask us to delete your personal data.
Objection
Object to us using your data for analytics.
Restriction
Ask us to limit how we use your data.
Portability
Ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
We reply to every request within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Tastely Bites is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will make any important changes clear. The latest version is always on this page.
